Job summary

Integra LifeSciences is hiring an inspector to ensure in-process and final products meet exact specifications. The role involves setting up inspections, selecting methods, and stopping operations when defects are found.

The candidate should have 4 years of precision inspection experience, strong interpretation of blueprints, and proficiency with standard gauges. This is an on-site position offering benefits and a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

  • Experience using precision inspection gauges and measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

  • Follow procedures for in-process and final inspections with tight tolerances.
  • Determine inspection methods and setup requirements for first article parts.
  • Stop machine operations if defective parts are detected.
  • Maintain and report results using the 1Factory system.
  • Follow safety rules and wear PPE.

To ensure manufactured products meet the specified standards and specifications of the print and the final product meet quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow procedures and instructions for in process and final inspections across a wide variety of customized parts and assemblies with very close tolerances and specifications.
  • Determine method of inspection and set up requirements on first article parts.
  • Has authority and is responsible for notifying management to stop a machine operation to avoid continued production of defective parts.
  • Maintain records of results using 1Factory system and prepare appropriate reports.
  • Follow Safety Rules
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4 years experience as inspector in a precision machining environment
  • Knowledge and experience of blueprint and spec interpretation
  • Experienced using all inspection hand gauging including: micrometers, thread gauges, dial indicators, vernier calipers, height gauges, internal and external thread gauges, ID/OD mics, bore gauges and etc.
  • Computer experience documenting and plotting inspection data
  • Capable of coordinating the inspection planning of a job
  • Excellent organization and communication skills

Salary Pay Range:

$16.68 - $22.12 USD Hourly

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for bonus, commission, equity or other variable compensation.
