Job summary

Integra LifeSciences is seeking a Manufacturing Operator 1 in Massachusetts to assemble and test components using computer-controlled equipment and various manufacturing tools. You will follow SOPs, perform inspections, and enter data into manufacturing systems to ensure quality and traceability.

The role requires GMP familiarity, the ability to stand for long periods, and 1+ year in production. Strong teamwork and reading of prints will help you succeed in this manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to read specifications and SOPs.
• Basic math skills and use of measurement tools.
• Ability to communicate in English (reading/writing/speaking).
• Proficient with computer data entry and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test components per SOPs and prints.
• Perform inspections including First Article inspections.
• Record data into manufacturing systems and logs.
• Maintain GMP and ISO compliance in daily tasks.
• Complete training requirements on schedule.
• Report issues to supervisor or engineer promptly.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks.
• Keep workspace clean, safe, and organized.
• Collaborate with team to support production goals.
• Assist with supplies and coordination of activities in the area.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Manufacturing Operator 1 will be responsible for using equipment including computer-controlled equipment to assemble and test components and products as well as operating various pieces of manufacturing equipment including heat treat furnaces, automated cleaning and passivation equipment, media blast and hand deburring equipment and tools to established specifications and requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete tasks including dimensional and visual inspections per print specifications including First Article inspections.
• Perform operations as described by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) demonstrating consistently effective job performance encompassing good quality, productivity, and dependability.
• Accurately record and enter required information and data into manufacturing documentation and into manufacturing computers including quality inspection data and individual training records.
• Ensure personal and company compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, as well as ISO and FDA compliance.
• Complete all applicable training requirements.
• Communicate problems and opportunities to supervisor, technician or engineer in a timely manner.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks as required.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment and equipment.
• Participate in team-based process improvement activities.
• Provide suggestions for manufacturing improvements.
• Assist in maintaining supplies needed for production area.
• Work closely with other manufacturing support areas to coordinate activities within the manufacturing area.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 1-year experience in Production, Operations, Manufacturing, and/or related discipline is required.
• Experience working with the inspection, assembly, and functional testing of manufactured components and assemblies is preferred.
• Experience working in a Medical Device manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or another regulated environment is preferred.
• Basic mechanical and computer skills is required.
• The ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• The ability to communicate effectively (read, write and speak) in English is required.
• Basic math skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute percentages and work with decimals, is required.
• The ability to stand and/or walk more than 80% of the time is required.
• The ability to lift to 25 pounds and to stand and sit for extended periods of time.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

Ability to utilize a computer, telephone, fax and copy machine as well as other general office equipment.

Strong computer skills are required.

Salary Pay Range: $19.19 - $25.43 USD Hourly
