Job summary

AKG North American Operations Inc in Mitchell, SD seeks a Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift (2PM–10PM). The role inspects manufactured items to ensure adherence to print and customer specs, performs first article inspections, and supports audits and data reporting to sustain process quality.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in manufacturing, and is available for the stated shift. This on-site position requires standing and regular attendance per company policy.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working in a manufacturing setting; prior experience working in Quality preferred.
• Must be available and able to work the agreed upon shift.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify that items manufactured meet all print and customer specifications.
• Perform 1st article inspections for work orders in welding, machining, and core area.
• Fill out Inspection Reports, documenting that the components or coolers meet print.
• Perform process audits in several manufacturing areas, and measure items to verify part conformity.
• Fill out nonconformance reports for defects found in manufacturing.
• Gather and organize production data, and analyze to report key quality and process metrics performance.
• Report any issues to supervisor, or appropriate personnel or manufacturing areas as needed.
• Regular physical attendance is a requirement for this position.
