Job summary

Western Partitions, Inc. (WPI) in the southern Columbus area seeks a Quality Inspector to ensure product compliance with company standards, vendor requirements and customer specifications. This role serves as the final quality checkpoint before delivery to project sites.

You will oversee daily QC activities, calibrations, and investigation of non-conformances, while coordinating with QA managers and manufacturing teams to sustain continuous improvement and ISO 9001 alignment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in QA/QC inspection or manufacturing quality roles.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in quality reporting tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for remote collaboration.
• Ability to be on your feet and mobile for a large portion of the day.

Responsibilities

• Quality control oversight across assembly, shipping/receiving, and vendor finished goods.
• Serve as a POC for customer and site issues; coordinate rapid responses.
• Manage inspections and calibrations; input inspections into systems; support operations.
• Investigate non-conformances; implement corrective actions with QAQC team.
• Assist in generating and maintaining ISO 9001 documentation; define quality standards.
• Support production teams to meet quality targets and communicate with customers.
• Provide final approval before products are released to site.
