Job summary

Closure Systems International Inc (CSI) is a global leader in designing and manufacturing innovative closures for consumer and industrial markets. The Erie Plant seeks a production operator to control molding, finishing, and packaging processes while ensuring quality and safety.

You will set up equipment, monitor lines, inspect products, and help drive continuous improvements with the team. Candidates should have a high school diploma, basic math and blueprints understanding, and English

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency
• Read, write and speak English
• Must read/understand basic math, blueprints, and SPC
• Must be trained in and understand safety regulations and efficiently perform the operations as defined in this job description.
• Perform duties as required and adapt to changing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor all equipment
• Locate and correct problems that cause line backups
• Analyze and solve productivity issues with the manufacturing support team
• Perform assigned PM functions
• Prepare, train and ensure adherence to equipment procedures/work instructions for safe and efficient operations of equipment
• Inspect product continually to ensure quality and efficient machine operation
• Consult with Technician for corrective action as appropriate
• Follow good manufacturing practices
• Collect data for key performance indicators
• Participate in daily team meetings
• Contribute ideas to improve operation performance
• Write, train, and monitor work instructions for existing and new employees
• Adhere to the five basics of workplace organization
• Perform miscellaneous projects and data collection tasks

Job Details: Job Location: Erie Plant - Erie, PA 16502, Job Description:

Responsible for controlling the manufacturing process to produce the ware that meets the requirements in keeping with our Quality Policy. The control of this process requires periodic procedures including visual inspections and dimensional inspections that are used as a part of their SPC charting. Also responsible for documenting any changes made to the recorded parameters of the molding process. You have the authority to manage, perform and verify work affecting quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Production Operation Molding, Finishing and Packaging Equipment
   • Set up and monitor all equipment
   • Locate and correct problems that cause line backups
   • Analyze and solve productivity issues in conjunction with manufacturing support team
   • Perform assigned P.M. functions
   • Prepare, Train and insure adherence to equipment procedures/work instructions to insure safe and efficient operations of equipment.
2. Monitor, Inspect & package Product
   • Inspect product on a continual basis to insure quality and efficient machine operation.
   • Make adjustments of consult Technician for corrective action, as appropriate.
   • Prepare, Train and insure adherence to Product procedures/work instructions to insure quality products are being produced.
   • Follow good manufacturing practices
3. Shop Floor Management
   • Collect data for key performance indicators
   • Participate in daily team meetings
   • Contribute/implement ideas to improve operation performance
   • Write, Train, Monitor work instructions for existing and new employees
   • Adhere to five basics of workplace organization
   • Perform miscellaneous projects and data collection tasks
