Job summary

Powell is seeking a Quality Inspector in Houston to perform visual, mechanical and electrical inspections of equipment, conduct tests, and document non-conformities. You will interact with production to resolve quality issues and support corrective actions.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in manufacturing, read engineering drawings, and are proficient in English. The role emphasizes safety, ISO processes, and continuous improvement within a temperature-controlled facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or trade certificate.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read prints, schematics, wiring diagrams and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, mechanical and electrical inspections and testing of equipment per Powell Standards.
• Program and operate microprocessor-based relays and electrical equipment.
• Energize Powell electrical products and related gear.
• Investigate root causes of failures and propose corrective actions.
• Maintain all quality test documentation.
