Job summary

Powell in Houston seeks a Lead Quality Inspector to ensure products meet established quality standards through inspections, tests, and audits. You will lead a crew, document non-conformities, and drive corrective actions with production teams.

Responsibilities include training inspectors, coordinating with shop, engineering, sales and customers, and ensuring compliance with IEEE, NEMA and NEC guidelines while maintaining accurate documentation and safety practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in industrial electrical field
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
• Advanced knowledge of electrical theory
• Proficient with handheld test equipment (multimeter, clamp-on meter, voltage detector)

Responsibilities

• Train Inspection Crew in final inspection and tests of bus duct, MV/LV equipment.
• Inspect and test all equipment manufactured at Powell facilities.
• Interface with shop, engineering, sales, customers and shipping.
• Attend department safety and training meetings and pre-inspection meetings.
• Supervise Inspection crew and train inspectors.
• Act as backup Inspection Supervisor in the supervisor's absence.
