Job summary

Palmetto Group is seeking a diligent Quality Inspector to perform routine visual inspections and tests on materials and homes in process in North Charleston, SC. The role includes labeling, testing, and approving materials, with emphasis on safety and quality control.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, familiarity with electrical systems, and a valid driver’s license. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring reliable transportation and a strong attention to

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Familiarity with electrical systems, tools, equipment, codes, and safety procedures are strongly preferred.
Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

Performs routine visual inspections and tests on raw materials, homes in process, and finished products.
Tests, inspects, and approves materials.
Connects temporary power to homes and ensures safe connections.
Maintains quality records and logs for review by supervisors and staff.
Performs punch work and service calls as needed.
Follows Company safety policies and procedures.
