Job summary

Heyco, part of PennEngineering, is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector (Day A) to join the Quality team in Toms River, NJ. You will inspect parts and materials from suppliers and during production to ensure they meet specifications.

Under the Quality Manager's guidance, you will help maintain high quality standards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. A strong eye for detail and experience with measurement tools are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings, blueprints, or schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Basic understanding of SPC/SQC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, schematics, and formulas with engineering staff to set quality levels.
• Select products for inspection at stages of production for dimensions and performance.
• Inspect incoming parts from suppliers for correct part number, quantity and dimensions.
• Record inspection data and apply basic quality control procedures.
• Verify products by measuring characteristics against standards and criteria.
• Participate in team problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Continuously build skills to support quality goals.
