Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Quality Inspector for a precision fabrication and machined parts supplier serving aerospace, defence, and power generation industries.

This permanent role offers an excellent salary depending on experience. Core duties include visual inspection, measurement to drawings, first-off and final inspections, and maintaining ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting metal high-precision components to tight tolerances.
• Operating CMM inspection machines.
• Experience in highly regulated industries (aerospace, automotive, nuclear, oil & gas, rail, for example).
• Confident using verniers, calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.
• Positive attitude, can hit the ground running.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products visually and measure them to meet drawings and specifications.

• Investigate non-conforming products and report quality issues.
• Maintain ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance.
• Ensure inspections are completed correctly before processing and dispatch to customers.

• Inspect products visually and measure them to make sure they meet drawing and specification requirements.
• Carry out first-off, last-off, incoming material, and final quality inspections.
• Investigate products that do not meet specifications and report quality issues when required.
• Maintain company quality standards and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements.
• Ensure all inspections are completed correctly before products are processed and dispatched to customers.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Well-versed in inspecting a range of metal high-precision components/parts to tight tolerances
• Operating CMM inspection machines
• Experience working within a highly regulated environment/industry (aerospace, automotive, nuclear, oil & gas, rail, for example) – Aerospace is perfect, but high precision is fine if not aerospace
• Confident using dimensional measurement tools such as verniers/callipers, gauges, micrometres, etc
• Positive attitude, can hit the ground running
