Job summary

Spectrum Plastics Group in Sandy, UT is seeking an experienced QA/QC Inspector. You will conduct inspections across incoming, in-process, first piece, supplemental and final checks to ensure conformance with specifications.

Accuracy is essential: measure with micrometers, calipers and scales, maintain traceability and documentation, and ensure calibration of tools. Candidates should be able to lift 40 lbs and stand 6–12 hours daily. English proficient; Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• English proficiency; bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming, in-process, first piece, supplemental and final inspections.
• Measure and record with calibrated measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, scales).
• Control non-conforming material and log in the system.
• Maintain material traceability and documentation.
• Ensure calibration/verification of tools, gauges, and instruments.
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Stand 6-12 hours daily.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Conduct material/product inspections including but not limited to: incoming, process, first piece, supplemental and final inspections
• Measure and record material/product accurately using calibrated measuring equipment
• Control of non-conforming material/product and information entry into system
• Maintain material/product traceability and documentation
• Ensure tools, gauges, instruments and other measuring and testing equipment are calibrated and / or verified
• Capable of carrying up to 40 lbs.
• Able to stand 6-8 hours daily (Ideally 6-12 hours/day)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Proficient in all areas of quality inspection
• Experience using measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, scales) to ensure compliance with specifications
• Able to visually recognize and measure particulate as small as 0.8 sq. mm.
• Must successfully complete and pass a color deficiency test
• Minimum of one-year experience as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector in an ISO certified (or equivalent) manufacturing environment
• Proficient in English, written and spoken (bilingual in Spanish a plus)

• High School Diploma, G.E.D or Equivalent

• Certified by Supervisor to be qualified to perform duties of this job
