Job summary

OESL-Automotive seeks a Quality Inspector to ensure product quality and conformance with SOPs and work instructions. You will perform incoming and internal inspections, maintain 5S organized work areas, and support IATF 16949 audits.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic math and computer skills, and English proficiency. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, with knowledge of inspection tools a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• No experience in quality inspection; 1+ years in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic Math and computer skills required.
• Microsoft Office products skills preferred.
• Knowledge of Vernier calipers, go/no gauges, templates, etc. preferred.
• Must possess proficiency in spoken and reading English sufficient to perform the essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming and internal inspections and testing of materials and parts using visual inspection, gauges, fixtures, and other inspection equipment according to established quality standards and inspection plans.
• Inspect parts and processes at the beginning, during, and end of shifts to ensure compliance with quality plans, work instructions, SOPs, and inspection requirements.
• Conduct in-process sampling and physical product testing, complete required documentation, and prepare inspection reports for measurements and test results as needed.
• Proper containment and control of non-conforming material. Escalate as necessary and support Production in containment as needed.
• Maintain organized (5S) detailed records, workstations and instruments during the activities being performed and support the activity of keeping work or inspection instructions updated.
• Support customer, internal and external IATF 16949 audit programs as required.

The Quality Inspector will keep inspection/work area clean based on the 5S methodology and comply with company policies and procedures.
