Job summary

Nidec Corporation in Mankato, MN is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift (4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.), Monday–Thursday, on-site.

You will inspect mechanical and electrical equipment, set up and test electronic components, record defects, and interpret drawings. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 10,000 hours of inspection experience; must be a sole U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical inspection of complex equipment and electronics.
• Set up and test electronic components for conformity to manufacturing standards.
• Record type and quantity of defects.
• Make quality decisions, determine reasons for rejects, and decide disposition.
• Work with suppliers and buyers to communicate defect information and corrective actions.
• Interpret complex drawings and specifications for inspection.
• Review and generate inspection documents.
• Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and testing devices.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Complete other duties as designated by supervisor within the same salary grade or below.
