Job summary

Nemera in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a Quality Inspector to support the Quality Lead and Operational Quality Manager. You will read drawings, analyze test data, collect samples, and verify conformance to standards to maximize product quality and operating efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Quality Lead and Operational Quality Manager in coordinating and executing objectives to maximize product quality and efficiency.
  • Support and comply with cGMP, ISO standards, Health and Safety requirements, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Read and interpret part drawings, data, manuals to determine specs and procedures.
  • Analyze test data and compute results to determine test outcomes.
  • Collect samples for testing or as models.
  • Compare products to color charts and templates to verify conformance.
  • Review lot documentation to ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Reject products not meeting specifications and document nonconformances.
  • Discuss results and suggest corrective actions with responsible personnel.
  • Inspect materials and products for conformance to specs.
  • Mark items with grade and acceptance status.
  • Measure dimensions with gauges, calipers, micrometers, CMM, and optical devices.
  • Write nonconformance, rework instructions and deviation reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description
  • Assists the Quality Lead and Operational Quality Manager in coordinating and executing objectives throughout the company in cooperation with other employees, to maximize product quality and operating system efficiency/effectiveness to minimize costs.
  • Support and comply with all policies of the company including but not limited to cGMP, ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements and Continuous Improvement as well as standard work procedures.
  • Read and interpret part drawings, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and setting procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas and measuring instruments required.
  • Analyze test data and make computations as necessary to determine test results.
  • Collect or select samples for testing or for use as models.
  • Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or materials with color charts, templates, or samples to verify conformance to standards.
  • Perform lot documentation review and approval to ensure compliance to procedures and good documentation practices.
  • Reject products and materials, not meeting specifications.
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions.
  • Inspect test, or measure materials, products, and work for conformance to specifications.
  • Mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.
  • Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers, force gages, CMM and optical gaging machines.
  • Write nonconformance, rework instruction and deviation reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PAY RANGE

$20.00 USD - $30.00 USD Hourly (This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.)

SHIFT SCHEDULE

12-Hour, Rotating Shifts (2-2-3 Rotating Schedule, requiring work every other weekend) from 6:00 AM to 6:15 PM
