Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector for a 5-month contract in Sumter, SC. The role runs 8 PM to 8 AM on a 3-2-2-3 schedule with a 40-hour work week and pay rate of $20–$30 per hour. Requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years in quality control. Eye/vision exams may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual, dimensional and functional inspections on a wide variety of products.
• Reports non-conformances to Supervisor and advises corrective action.
• Follows up to verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Decides whether product is acceptable or rejected and maintains inspection records.
• Recognizes conditions outside inspection area and refers items to supervisor.
• Ensures GMP compliance in working areas and reports infractions.
• Evaluates product and process during visual inspections and makes decisions.
• Responsibilities impact product quality, productivity, and costs.

Note

Eye exam will be required contingent upon a hire. This role requires 20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses; and/or the successful completion of a color vision exam.

Description

• Performs visual, dimensional and functional inspections on a wide variety of products in accordance with internal procedures and Product Specifications.
• Reports non-conformances to Supervisor and discusses corrective action.
• In addition, follows-up to see if corrective action was effective.
• Determines whether product is acceptable or rejected, initiates rejection notices, and maintains accurate written records of the inspections performed, including the results.
• Recognizes conditions outside their specific areas of inspection which require action and refers the items to the supervisor.
• Monitors compliance to G.M.P. in employee working areas and reports infractions to Q.C. Supervisor for corrective action.
• Employee evaluates both the product and process, making decisions on subjective visual inspections.
• Responsibilities have an impact on product quality, productivity, and product costs as affected by internal and external costs of rework, scrap and product warranty.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two (1-2) years related Quality Control experience or equivalency.
• Demonstrated human relation and communications skills.
• Ability to withstand repetitive motion and to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to read and comprehend English.
• Six (6) months related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
