Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
1–2 years related Quality Control experience or equivalent.
Six months related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform visual, dimensional and functional inspections per internal procedures and product specs.
Report non-conformances to Supervisor and discuss corrective action.
Follow up to confirm effectiveness of corrective actions.
Decide whether product is acceptable or rejected and issue rejection notices.
Maintain accurate written records of inspections and results.
Identify conditions outside inspection scope and refer to supervisor.
Ensure GMP compliance in working areas and escalate infractions to QC.
Evaluate product and process and make decisions on visual inspections.

Note: Eye exam will be required contingent upon a hire.

Job Description

This role requires 20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses; and/or the successful completion of a color vision exam.
Performs visual, dimensional and functional inspections on a wide variety of products in accordance with internal procedures and Product Specifications.
Reports non-conformances to Supervisor and discusses corrective action.
In addition, follows-up to see if corrective action was effective.
Determines whether product is acceptable or rejected, initiates rejection notices, and maintains accurate written records of the inspections performed, including the results.
Recognizes conditions outside their specific areas of inspection which require action and refers the items to the supervisor.
Monitors compliance to G.M.P. in employee working areas and reports infractions to Q.C.
Supervisor for corrective action.
Employee evaluates both the product and process, making decisions on subjective visual inspections.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities have an impact on product quality, productivity, and product costs as affected by internal and external costs of rework, scrap and product warranty.
