Job summary

H-J, located in High Ridge, MO, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support the Quality Manager and team in maintaining and improving product quality. The role entails inspecting materials, ensuring standard compliance, and contributing to corrective actions for continual improvement at our High Ridge facility.

The role is entry-level with opportunities to grow; weekend shift is 36 hours with shift premium pay and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of inspection techniques and the use of measurement equipment, including micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and perform dimensional measurements to ensure products meet specifications.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to complete projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test incoming, in-process, and finished materials according to specifications through visual and measurement tests.
• Participate in corrective action activities to enhance overall quality.
• Perform line audits to ensure product conformance to standards.
• Document inspection and audit results in the appropriate systems.
• Complete full dimensional checks and reporting for sample parts.
• Review and understand the requirements of the Quality Management System.
• Follow procedures, work instructions, and reference materials to ensure consistent process quality.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for process and procedural improvements.
• Assist in material evaluation, including sorting and reworking materials.
• Stay updated on job knowledge through educational opportunities and reading relevant technical publications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
