Position Overview

This position is responsible for inspecting products to meet required specifications, completing inspection reports, identifying non-conforming products, and ensuring all customer and company requirements are exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Approve final production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to supervisors.
  2. Inspect manufactured products, including sheet metal parts.
  3. Collaborate with the Quality team to communicate issues discovered during inspections.
  4. Perform routine part inspections on the shop floor.
  5. Use various measuring equipment to perform inspections.
  6. Cross-train to inspect different departments, from manufacturing to assembly.
  7. Retrieve and log documentation using the Quality Management System (QMS).
  8. Utilize prints to inspect parts.
  9. Communicate with production and engineering teams to resolve issues.
  10. Maintain good attendance and reliable transportation.
  11. Promote company policies and quality expectations.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to use calipers, height gauges, and other measuring tools (preferred).
  • Ability to read prints and specifications.
  • Experience with QMS (preferred).
  • Ability to use computer programs for data recording.
  • Experience with First Article Inspection (preferred).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (preferred).
  • Experience with welding, brake press, punch turret/laser, hardware insertion (preferred).
Physical Requirements
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull 1-50 lbs. frequently.
  • Perform squatting, kneeling, bending, twisting, grasping, and reaching frequently.
  • Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours daily.
  • Maintain close mental and visual attention for manual tasks.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening.
Work Environment
  • Work in environments ranging from 55°F to 85°F.
Compensation

Pay rate: $17.50 to $19.00 plus benefits.
