This position is Temp to Hire. The selected candidate will be employed by the company through an employment agency.

Shift: 2nd Shift (2pm - 10:30pm)

DESCRIPTION

The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, measuring, and reviewing the final product during manufacturing to ensure quality standards are met. This position reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints and specifications to understand product requirements.
  • Use Keyence equipment for measurement.
  • Visually inspect the final product and perform rework hourly.
  • Measure critical dimensions of final products every 2 hours and record the measurements.
  • Handle all startup and retention activities during the shift.
  • Manage all equipment and documentation used during manufacturing shifts.
  • Record data, perform statistical analysis, and prepare reports.
  • Create shift reports, including job runs and issues encountered.
  • Perform first article inspections according to blueprints and customer requirements.
  • Reject products that do not meet customer specifications and notify the shift supervisor.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance quality control.
  • Address quality-related issues promptly.
  • Handle startup samples and ensure proper retention in the library.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Keyence programming.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
  • Ability to interpret complex blueprints.
  • Familiarity with IQMS, CMM, & RAM systems.
  • Quality control certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AQI tables.
  • Understanding of tool validation processes (OQ, PQ).
