Job summary

Engineered Cabs is seeking an Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections of cabs for structural and visual conformity. You will read drawings, measure with precision, and ensure compliance with documented procedures.

The role involves preparing cabs for shipment and maintaining accurate records, with a focus on quality and teamwork. Qualifications include strong math skills, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.

Qualifications

• Experience in inspection or quality control is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/d drawings.
• Strong mathematical skills and accuracy in measurements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect in-process and final cabs for structural and visual quality per internal procedures.
• Perform dimensional and cosmetic inspections per specifications.
• Prep cabs for shipment and assemble/disassemble parts per guidelines.
• Complete paperwork and system entries promptly.
• Read drawings/blueprints and identify part numbers and components.
• Use micrometers, calipers and inspection devices as required.
• Adhere to quality policy and procedures.

Job description

Inspector is responsible for in-process and final inspecting of cabs for structural and visual consistency and accuracy per documented internal procedural requirements. Incumbents in this role have successfully mastered all inspection protocols and any applicable test equipment.

• Accurately perform internal/external customer- or facility process-specific inspection
• Perform internal/external product dimensional and cosmetic inspections checks in accordance with product specifications.
• Prep cabs for shipment (Assembly; Rivnut; Installation or Removal of parts per guidelines; etc.)
• Complete all necessary paperwork / system entries in a timely and efficient manner
• Knowledge of physical steel and/or composite properties
• Working knowledge of quality control; welding processes; final assembly; paint processes.
• Strong mathematical skills
• Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel) preferred
• Good communication skills (oral and written)
• Must be able to comprehend and retain an understanding of internal requirements.
• Must be able to handle brief physical exertions and be able to stand for periods of time.
• Must be able to read drawings/blue prints and distinguish part numbers, components, fittings, etc.
• Must understand and follow the quality policy and procedures

• Must understand customer and product (both incoming and in-process) requirements
• Previous Inspection experience preferred
