Job summary

Metro Services is seeking Quality Inspector candidates for a manufacturing client in Frankfort, IN. This temporary/contract role involves performing multiple inspection steps, reading blueprints, and documenting results. The position requires attention to detail, ability to work independently or in a team, and flexibility for overtime and weekend shifts.

Compensation is USD hourly with 2nd shift at $20.25/hour and 3rd shift TBD. The schedule is 2nd shift Monday to Friday, 2:45 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections on all products.
• Rotate between QA Lab stations to support daily inspection needs.
• Conduct dimensional analysis using CMM and hand gauges.
• Inspect samples through cutting, buffing, polishing, hardness testing and micro inspection.
• Identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and quality documentation.
• Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Maintain safe working habits and follow all safety protocols.

Job DescriptionJob Description Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill Quality Inspector positions for a manufacturing client in Frankfort, IN. This is a Temp/Contract job.

Duties for this position include:

• Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections on all products
• Rotate between multiple QA Lab stations to support daily inspection needs
• Conduct dimensional analysis using CMM and hand gauges
• Inspect samples through cutting, buffing, polishing, hardness testing (Vickers), Magnaflux, and micro inspection
• Identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and quality documentation
• Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation
• Assist with off-site sorting and product transfers as needed
• Maintain safe working habits and follow all safety protocols
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support quality operations

Compensation (USD):

2nd Shift $20.25/hour
3rd Shift TBD

Schedule:

2nd Shift Monday – Friday
2:45 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
3rd Shift TBD

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when required
• Commitment to workplace safety and use of required PPE
