What You’ll Do
As an Inspector, you’ll be part of our team located in Fullerton, CA. You’ll get to:
- Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with procedures and safety regulations.
- Ensure quality standards are met.
- Follow general inspection guidelines to conduct critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, and materials.
- Maintain inspection records and documentation in accordance with government, customer, and company standards.
- Assist Quality Assurance during internal audits and customer audits as needed.
- Inspect incoming materials by confirming products meet drawings and specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; document and communicate rejections of unacceptable items.
- Inspect in-process production by confirming products meet applicable drawings and specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; document and communicate required corrections.
- Inspect finished products by confirming products meet drawings and specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; document and communicate required corrections; ensure defective products are not delivered to the customer.

- Proficiency in using hand measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, etc.).
- Proficiency in applying GD&T principles for blueprint/model interpretation and acceptance activities.
- Ability to read engineering and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience conducting First Article, In-Process, and Final inspections, with accurate report generation utilizing AS9102 FAIR format.
- Knowledge of Quality Management System principles such as ISO 9001:2008, AS 9100D.
- Ability to generate and maintain Nonconformance reports and records.
- Participation in Corrective Action processes, including containment plans, root cause analysis, and providing objective evidence for verification/closure.
- Accurate documentation of inspection results and issuing Certificates of Conformance.
- Maintaining and archiving controlled document files and records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participation in internal and external audit activities as needed.
- Providing feedback on the quality aspects of parts and assemblies to QA and Production.
- Ability to interact with Production to communicate inspection results.
- Ability to work well with others and maintain a professional environment.
- Reviewing contracts, purchase orders, drawings, routings, shop instructions, and other planning for quality requirements.
- At least 3+ years of manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs frequently and stand for long periods.
