Job summary

API Heat Transfer, a global leader in specialty heat exchangers, is seeking a Quality Inspector to help ensure products and processes meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. You will learn and support the team’s continuous improvement efforts on the factory floor.

Responsibilities include inspecting materials and components, recording data, reporting defects, assisting with investigations, and collaborating with Production and Engineering to resolve quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in a technical or quality field a plus.
• 1-2 years of quality, manufacturing, or inspection experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, or willingness to learn.
• Comfortable using basic inspection tools (calipers, gauges) or willingness to learn.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test materials, components, and finished products for compliance with specifications and requirements.
• Record inspection data, test results, and audit documentation accurately and on time.
• Report defects, quality concerns, and trends to the QA Manager.
• Assist with investigations of quality issues and support corrective action follow-up.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to flag and resolve quality concerns.
• Follow established quality procedures and help identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Participate in daily and weekly QA meetings.
• Support a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
• Complete assigned tasks accurately, safely, and on time.
• Monitor lab and inspection supplies and report needs to the QA Manager.
• Learn to use inspection tools, gauges, and quality software as part of on-the-job training
