Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift in East Granby, CT. You will perform final inspection of finished aerospace engine parts and components. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of inspection experience in aerospace or manufacturing.

Proficiency with CMMs (PCDMIS/MODUS) and reading blueprints is preferred. Work is onsite, M-F 3:30pm-12:00am with a pay rate of $30-38 per hour plus a 15% shift differential. Start ASAP.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of inspection experience in aerospace or general manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical docs and blueprints.
• Experience with CMMs (PCDMIS or MODUS) highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Final inspection of finished aerospace engine parts and components.
• Measure features and holes to customer specifications.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection with appropriate gauges.
• Interpret operation sheets and blueprints to ensure parts meet criteria.
• Complete paperwork for defective or reworked parts.
• Ensure all inspected parts meet acceptance criteria.

A 2nd shift Quality Inspector job is available with a manufacturing client in East Granby, CT. The individual will perform final inspection of finished aerospace engine parts and components. A High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required along with 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace or general manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Final inspection of finished aerospace engine parts and components
• Measure various features and holes on part or component and determine if the part is acceptable to customer requirements
• Inspection includes visual and dimensional using requited gaging and measuring equipment
• Interpret operation sheets and blueprints meet customer criteria for an acceptable part
• Ensure that all parts being inspected meet criteria for an acceptable part
• If a part is defective or needs re-work, Inspector must complete required paperwork associated with this task

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace or general manufacturing environment is a plus
• Previous experience performing dimensional and visual inspection in an aerospace environment
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, blueprints, repair manuals, and customer specifications
• Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools
• A strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required
• Proficiency in operating CMMs using PCDMIS and/ or MODUS software (highly desirable)
• Previous experience performing incoming, in process, or final inspections in a turbine engine repair environment (highly desirable)

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required
