Jobtailor in Pascagoula, MS is seeking a Quality Inspector to visually inspect electronic units and electromechanical assemblies, read blueprints, and verify conformance with customer specs. You will use dial indicators, micrometers, scales, and other measuring devices to identify defects and determine rework or acceptance.

This role requires a high school diploma with related experience or an associate's degree with one year of experience; U.S.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with related experience.
Apprentice graduate or associate degree with 1 year experience.
Certification may be required.

Responsibilities

Inspect visually in-process and completed products, including electronic units and subassemblies, for defects and quality.
Use various measuring devices to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
Work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawings, inspection instructions, and checklists.
Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control or other procedures.
Perform line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed.

Inspect visually in-process and completed products, including electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies, mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds
Use various measuring devices
Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems
Work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawings, inspection instructions, and checklists
Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
Perform line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience
Apprentice graduate/ Associate's Degree in relevant discipline and 1 year of related experience
May require certification
Ability to inspect at great heights
Ability to inspect confined spaces
Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb when required
Demonstrated basic computer skills
Able to read a blueprint
U.S. Citizenship required
