Job summary

Miller Industries is hiring a Quality Inspector for the 1st shift in Burton, Michigan. The role focuses on verifying conformance to drawings and specifications and ensuring product quality across parts, assemblies, and subassemblies.

Responsibilities include inspecting to prints, initiating non-conformances, and distributing quality records, with overtime possible on weekends to support production. A high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years of manufacturing quality inspection are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to use a variety of hand inspection tools to conduct inspections.
• Must be able to interpret manufacturing drawings and have a strong background in quality tolerances and dimensional inspection.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
• Computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting parts, assemblies and subassemblies to drawings and prints.
• Initiating non-conformance reports on all parts and assemblies that are not to drawing and print specifications.
• Assuring that manufactured units meet quality control procedures, engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Initiating corrective action requests when conditions adverse to quality are repetitive in nature.
• Completing, inspecting, and distributing all quality records and documents; performing specialized testing as required.
