Quality Inspector - 1st Shift - (1120-E) (Full Time)

Location: Windsor, CT

Position Summary

Support manufacturing by inspecting products and processes to meet quality standards and scheduled goals.

Essential Functions
  1. Perform final inspection of products.
  2. Work in accordance with inspection sheets.
  3. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  4. Develop proficiency with inspection processes used by the company.
  5. Follow written and verbal instructions, engineering drawings, or sketches.
  6. Prepare inspection reports and document non-conformances.
  7. Ensure compliance with safety, hazardous material handling, and disposal requirements.
  8. Maintain a clean work environment in accordance with regulations.

Experience and Education
  • Minimum of 3 years in aerospace inspection.
  • Ability to work with sketches and measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height stands, indicators, shadow graph, and CMM.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions.
  • Must pass vision exam per NAS 410 standards.
Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

Must frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Regularly stand; use hands; reach; occasionally walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.

Compensation

$40,000 - $100,000 per year, paid hourly with possible adjustments based on experience, overtime, and shift.
