Job summary

Unified Defense is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to read drawings, inspect products, and document non-conformances. The role emphasizes accurate dimensional checks, interpreting blueprints, and communicating quality issues across teams.

Tissue-friendly shifts include 1st, 2nd, weekend shifts in Byron, GA. The candidate should have strong math skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with measuring tools and inspection techniques, with a willingness to support the Quality Management

Qualifications

• Pass a tape measure test.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or quality inspection preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings preferred.
• Strong math aptitude with fractions, decimals, and millimeters.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work products at various production stages for compliance with requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
• Perform dimensional checks using measuring tools.
• Document quality concerns and non-conformances.
• Communicate quality issues with cross-functional teams.
• Support the Quality Management System documentation and procedures.
• Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.

WhatYou’llDo:

• Inspect work products at various stages of the production process to verify compliance with company and customer requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
• Perform dimensional checks usingappropriate measuringtools.
• Apply mathematical skills, including fractions, decimals, and millimeters, to verify product measurements.Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns or non-conformances.
• Communicate effectively with production, drafting, sales, and planning personnelregardingquality issues.
• Support andcomply withthe Quality Management System (QMS), including documentation and standard procedures.
• Participate in training and development activities and apply learned skills on the job.
• Maintainaccurateinspectionrecords and quality documentation.
• Activelyparticipatein safety programs and follow all safety procedures and policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform all other duties assigned.

Who You Are:

• Ability to passatape measuretest.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection role preferred.

• Strong math aptitude, including understanding of fractions, decimals, and millimeters.
• Familiarity with measuring tools and inspection techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to follow quality standards, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbsregularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work onfeetfor extended periods (8-12 hours per shift).
• Ability to work in hot, cold, or non-climate-controlled environments, including outdoor areas.
• Ability to safely climb ladders, stairs, and work on elevated surfaces.
• Manual dexterityrequiredtooperatetools, controls, and equipment.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
