Qualifications

Job Description

Performs visual inspection of printed materials for defects.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform "samples" selection and package for shipment.
  • Perform visual inspection of random samples of product selected during a production run, or post production, looking for a variety of possible defects such as ragged edges, torn or wrinkled pages, incomplete cuts, incorrect bindings, smeared or blotched colors, dirt on the product, and any other visual defect that is out of specification.
  • Follows inspection checklist and records any identified defects.
  • Follow established quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure product meets quality conformance specified by the customer.
  • Provides notification to manufacturing management of known or found defects.
  • May assist with disposition of defective or non-conforming product.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 2 or more years of experience in a quality control/assurance function, especially in printing environment preferred
  • Requires knowledge of general administrative and manufacturing operations procedures and knowledge of job specific processes key to successfully execute and complete the duties of the job.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic organizational skills sufficient to accomplish work by established deadlines.

Additional Information

2nd Shift - Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

RRD's current salary range for this role is $35,360.00 to $41,600.00 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future.At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
