Job summary

Kelly Services seeks a Quality Inspector for a premier manufacturing client in Wyandotte, Michigan. This on-site, full-time role offers a 10-hour shift (6am–4pm) on Mondays and Fridays with weekly pay at $16.50 per hour.

You will inspect finished parts, assist with basic assembly, record data, and use rulers and gauges to verify specifications. Training and PPE are provided, with a 60-day probation and strict attendance policy.

Qualifications

• 1+ year work history in manufacturing or similar environment.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and sit for extended periods.
• Strong English reading/writing and basic math skills.
• Experience using measurement tools (rulers, gauges, etc.).
• Can pass a mandatory online criteria assessment/test.
• Comfortable wearing PPE and following safety guidelines.
• Adheres to a strict attendance and production policy (60-day probation).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and acute visual acuity.

Responsibilities

• Performing visual inspection of finished parts for defects.
• Conducting minor finishing and basic assembly operations.
• Recording data accurately into plant electronic database systems.
• Using measurement tools to check product specifications.
• Following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Participating in routine equipment safety and quality checks.
• Supporting movement of materials from inspection/assembly lines to staging area.
• Completing equipment changeover operations.
• Maintaining housekeeping standards and training others as needed.
• Solving problems independently and collaboratively to resolve equipment issues.

Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour – Weekly Pay!

Shift: 6am – 4pm, Monday and Fridays ONLY, 10-hour shift (20-hours per week)

What’s a typical day as Quality Inspector? You’ll be:

• Performing visual inspection of finished parts for defects
  
• Conducting minor finishing and basic assembly operations

• Following standard operating instructions and safety procedures
  
• Participating in routine equipment safety and quality checks
  
• Supporting efficient movement of materials from inspection/assembly lines to staging area
  
• Completing equipment changeover operations
  
• Maintaining housekeeping standards and may train other personnel
  
• Problem solving independently and collaboratively to resolve equipment issues
