Job summary

Airsys is seeking a Quality Inspector in Woodruff, SC to verify that manufactured products and processes meet defined quality standards, customer specs, and regulatory requirements. You will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections and document results to prevent nonconforming material from reaching the customer.

You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality to identify defects, support root-cause analysis, and verify corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 year’s experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Hands-on experience performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Experience supporting nonconformance reports (NCRs) and CAPA.
  • Exposure to regulated manufacturing (HVAC, automotive, electrical, or UL/ETL-listed products) preferred.
  • Experience with first article inspections (FAI).
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) basics.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
  • Ability to train operators on inspection or quality awareness.
  • Experience supporting customer or third-party audits.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying that manufactured products, components, and processes meet defined quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role performs inspections and tests at incoming, in-process, and final stages of production to ensure product conformity and prevent nonconforming material from reaching the customer.

The Quality Inspector works closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify defects, document nonconformances, support root cause analysis, and verify corrective actions. This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with quality management systems (such as ISO 9001), supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and promoting a culture of quality throughout the manufacturing operation.
