Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Hartford Service Center is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure aircraft maintenance quality and regulatory compliance. You will inspect aircraft, engines, parts, and records, and verify corrective actions with an A&P certificate.

The role requires 3–4 years of aircraft maintenance, 1 year in corporate/commercial jets, ability to read engineering documents, and strong English. An A&P certificate is required; a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 applies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Adhere to General Work Requirements.
• Approve aircraft for return to service per regulations.
• Obtain and secure all aircraft documents on A/C arrival.
• Inspect aircraft, engines, parts and tools per regulatory requirements.
• Inspect maintenance work and approve corrective actions.
• Inspect new/repaired parts on arrival for damage and conformity.
• Document work packages and records; complete specialized forms.
• Research aircraft drawings and technical data as required.
• Perform walk-around inspections prior to release from maintenance.
• Assist customers as required.
• Perform other tasks as required.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Adhere to General Work Requirements.
• Perform Return to Service process and approve aircraft for return to service in accordance with the applicable regulations as authorized and delegated by the repair station accountable manager.
• Upon A/C arrival, obtain associated documentation, inventory and secure all aircraft documents as required.
• Perform inspections of aircraft, engines, parts and components, precision tools, equipment and other materials in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Inspect aircraft maintenance and in-process inspections for repairs and alterations performed by Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to verify and/or approve corrective actions.
• Upon receipt, perform inspection of all new, repaired and rebuilt parts / components for evidence for physical damage, count and conformity
• Ensure that all work packages (orders and forms) as well as records of arrival (debrief checklist) and maintenance actions performed are documented accurately and that all specialized customer forms, and Bombardier and Learjet forms (i.e., RED, RFE & SRPSA) are documented accurately.
• Research aircraft drawings and technical data (i.e., REO, EO, DCN) as required.
• Perform walk around inspection of aircraft prior to release from maintenance when required.
• Assist customers as required.
• Perform other tasks as required.

How to thrive in this role?

• You typically have 3 to4years' aircraft maintenance experience
• You typically have 1 year corporate / commercial jet experience
• You have the ability to read and interpret engineering documents and maintenance manuals
• You have the ability to read, write, and understand the English language
• You have an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
