Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Wichita, KS, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join the service/completion center. You will inspect aircraft and components, verify maintenance against manuals, and ensure regulatory compliance during inspections. Strong reading of engineering docs and an A&P or Repairman certificate are required.

Experience with SAP and a willingness to work with a skilled team are essential to maintain our high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 1 year of aircraft maintenance experience, preferably Bombardier business jet experience.
• Read and interpret engineering docs and maintenance manuals.
• Hold A&P certificate or Repairman certificate.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to general work requirements and ensure paperwork complies with manuals and QC standards.
• Perform service inspections of aircraft or components per FARs and manuals.
• Assist inspectors in other areas of qualification as needed.
• Perform preliminary inspections upon aircraft arrival prior to maintenance.
• Inspect maintenance, repairs and alterations for corrective actions completed.
• Inspect fuel panels, floorboards, nose cowl, and circuit breaker installations for OK to install.
• Inspect engine installation and provide Installation OK.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Adhere to General Work Requirements


• Ensure all paperwork is complete and complies with engineering specifications, manufacturers maintenance manual, and Repair Station/Quality Control Manual prior to end-of-shift


• Perform service inspections of aircraft or components in accordance with applicable parts of chapter 14 CFR (FARs) and the manufacturer’s maintenance manual


• Assist other inspectors in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification


• Perform the Preliminary Inspection upon arrival of an aircraft at the facility prior to the commencement of maintenance or inspection.


• Inspect aircraft maintenance, repairs and alterations performed by Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to ensure the corrective action was completed


• Inspect fuel panels, final floorboard installation, final nose cowl closing, final aft fuselage closing, and final circuit breaker panel installation and provide “OK to Install”


• Inspect engine installation and provide “Installation OK”

How to thrive in this role?

• You typically have 1 year of aircraft maintenance experience, with Bombardier business jet aircraft preferred


• You have the ability to read and interpret engineering documents and maintenance manuals


• You have an A&P Certificate or appropriately rated Repairman Certificate.


• You have knowledge of SAP
