Job description

Quality Control Inspector is responsible for a wide range of inspection functions supporting assembly and/or machining operations. Follow programs, documents, drawings, specifications, MRB, CMM and quality standards to perform inspection functions.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an aerospace/aircraft
2. Minimum 3 years Quality Inspection aerospace/aircraft
3. GD&T Tolerance
4. Inspection of Machine parts

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools/equipment including but not limited to caliper, micrometer, height gage, hardness and conductivity.
2. Familiar with surface finish, edge preparation and general appearance of machined parts.
3. Familiar with outside processing certifications
4. Proficient with Engineering drawings/models
5. Computer literate
6. Understanding of GD&T Tolerance
7. Basic knowledge of CATIA
8. Basic understanding of a CMM
9. Basic understanding of CNC machining
10. Understanding AS9100/QMS
11. Perform Audits and report findings
12. Perform RCCA to solve issues using Lean Manufacturing
13. Understanding and performing FAIRs (Net-inspect is a plus)
14. MRB

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform first article inspections on machined parts using micrometers, calipers and other measurement devices while working in compliance with AS9100 standards.
2. Conduct inspection of finished machined parts; include in-process from first piece to final inspection.
3. Working knowledge of conventional inspections tools and gauges such as Micrometers, Calipers, thread gauges
4. Communicates with internal customers
5. Follow inspection (shop) procedures to accept or reject parts and assemblies, etc.
6. Assembly Inspection
7. Participates in Audits for AS9100 and Customers
8. Perform analytical investigations and develop root cause for non-conformance NCMRs and RMAs
9. Set up, program and operate CMM, as well as other measurement/inspection tools (Verisurf is a plus)
10. Miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Hours:

*First Shift - Mon. - Fri., 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (1 - NC Inspection, 1 - Final)
*Second Shift - Mon. - Thurs., 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. (1- SM Fab Inspection)
*Weekend Shift: Thurs. - Sun., 4 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (1 - Assembly Inspector, 1 Sheetmetal Inspector)
