Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a responsible Final Inspector on the 1st shift (7:00am-3:30pm) in Westborough, MA. This is a full-time Temp-to-Hire position.

You will perform first piece inspections of aerospace parts, interpret blueprints, and use inspection equipment such as CMMs, micrometers, and optical comparators. Three+ years of experience preferred.

Strong math, record-keeping, and communication skills are required; overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Inspection of complex aerospace parts and PC-DMIS experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications, blueprints, and operation sheets.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, have strong math and communication skills and be able to keep accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct first piece inspections as required.
• Plan and perform inspections to check dimensions and dimensional relationships on a variety of first piece run parts, gauges, tools and fixtures.
• Verify correct operation sheet is being used and confirm that it meets blueprint requirements.
• Use CMMs, optical comparators, sine plates, indicators, micrometers, V-Blocks, verniers, parallels, height stands, and cadillacs, etc.
• Return part to operator and ensure proper gauging and inspection equipment.
• Complete paperwork and documentation of dimensions.
• Perform all other similar and/or related duties as required and/or directed.

Our client is looking for a responsible Final Inspector this is a Temp to Hire position with our key manufacturing client. To be considered for this role, you will need 3+ years of experience as Inspector; Aerospace experience preferred.

Requirements
