Summary
An Inspector is to maintain quality standards by inspecting incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results. This involves counting, measuring, and inspecting products to verify they meet specifications and requirements. Verification may include checking products against bill of ladings, invoices, inspection sheets, and drawings.
Responsibilities
- Identify different types of NewAge and OEM products
- Collaborate with the Quality department management daily to assess workload and meet customer demands
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections against specifications and drawings for defects
- Inspect outside vendor products and raw material compounds
- Record inspection details and ensure proper documentation
- Attach identification tags to products and document defect or questionable products
- Notify relevant personnel of suspect products and submit non-conformance reports
- Utilize computer systems for tracking inspection data
- Monitor and follow up on nonconformities
- Unloading and unpacking shipments as needed
- Visually inspect products for damage or acceptability
- Determine proper sample sizes for inspections
- Ensure proper storage of all quality documentation
- Report additional quality issues to management
- Understand clean room processes and testing requirements
- Support environmental monitoring and create product certifications
- Calibrate inspection tools and coordinate third-party monitoring systems
- Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate effectively, both written and oral
- Maintain high reliability, accuracy, and integrity
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; 1+ years of related experience or equivalent
- ASQ certifications are a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and manuals
- Strong mathematical and reasoning skills
- Physical ability to handle materials up to 50 pounds and perform required tasks
- Ability to work in a loud environment with temperature variations
- Non-smoking policy
