Job summary

Chapter 2, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to support the Quality and Production departments in Wisconsin. You will perform repetitive inspections using precision measuring instruments and compare parts to blueprints or orders specifications.

Training verifications and audits may be conducted, with the aim of maintaining high quality standards. The role is full-time, on-site, with a pay range of $20–$22 per hour and a benefits package including disability, health, dental & vision, life

• Heavy lifting and standing required.
• Post-offer drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming and process inspections per Quality Dept. procedures and final inspection of product per company procedures as assigned.
• Noting time spent on all duties listed above.
• Filling out scrap part sheets.
• Putting away parts and gauges.
• Cleaning the Quality Lab.
• Conducting training verifications and quality audits on time to ensure quality and knowledge of production employees.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Quality Engineer and/or departments as needed.
• Monitor, carry out and abide by company policies.

Job description

Quality Inspector

Reportingdirectly to the Quality Manager, the QC Inspector is responsible for supportingthe Quality Department with quality procedures on a daily basis and assistingwith Chapter 2’s Production Department. Under supervision, perform repetitiveinspections following standardized methods and procedures. Visually inspect orcheck parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments or against fixedsamples. Check dimensions and finishes against blueprints or orderspecifications. May perform finishing operations to correct rejected parts orassist with other production activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform incoming (of parts and raw materials) and process inspections per Quality Dept. procedures and final inspection of product per company procedures as assigned.
• This includes but does not limit:
• Surf tests, roaming inspections, approvals, re-approvals, calibrations and outgoing inspections
• Noting time spent on all duties listed above
• Filling out scrap part sheets
• Putting away parts, gauges
• Cleaning the Quality Lab
• Conducting training verifications and quality audits on time to ensure the quality and knowledge of specific production employees
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Quality Engineer and/or departments as needed.
• To monitor, carry out and abide by company policies.

Candidate(s) should be a reliable and responsible individual, able to work independently and well with others. Must have excellent attendance record! Heavy lifting and standing is required.
