Hanwha Power in Jupiter, FL is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform incoming, in-process and final inspections of aerospace turbine components, following written procedures and established practices. The role supports AS9102 First Article Inspection and documents data as required.

You will interface with aerospace engineering to improve work instructions, generate NCRs, review paperwork, operate precision measuring equipment, and maintain a clean, safe work environment in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Complete on-the-job training toward meeting essential duties and performance criteria.
  • Must complete EHS regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Complete Specific on-the-job training towards meeting essential duties and work area performance criteria.
  • Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix.
Skills/Experience
  • 3+ years of inspection experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience with interpretation of technical drawings or work instructions
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office programs, SAP, and time keeping applications
  • Must be detail orientated
Physical Requirements
  • Stooping/Crouching. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
  • Kneeling. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
  • Crawling. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
  • Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time
  • Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work area to another.
  • Pushing & Pulling
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.
  • Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • The worker is subject to noise. There may be sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout raise their voice to be heard above ambient noise level.
  • The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
  • Capable of wearing required PPEs for specific tasks performed, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, safety shoes, etc.
  • Ability to cooperate and work with people
