Job summary

RBC Bearings in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a hands-on Inspector to support quality assurance activities. You will perform first- and final-inspection using gages, read blueprints, and document nonconformances in an Access database.

The role requires basic GD&T knowledge, ability to lift up to 30 lbs, and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Training provided and opportunities to grow in quality systems.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of GD&T and dimensional tolerance.
• Read blueprints and interpret drawings.

• Ability to stand, walk for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect receiving, in-process and final pieces using standard gages.
• Enter NCRs into Access Database and report weekly results to Quality Team.
• Assist Quality Engineers with locating documents and building cert packages.
• Write NCRs for nonconforming product and ensure certifications are up-to-date.

DESCRIPTION: We are currently searching for a hands-on individual to join our team.

Essential Functions Of The Job

• Basic knowledge of GD&T
• Read blueprints
• Understand dimensional tolerance
• Basic knowledge of inspection equipment
• Basic knowledge of tool gage building
• Reading and understanding material/chemical certifications
• Scanning and Document management of all business records
• Entering NCR’s into an Access Database
• Reporting weekly open NCR’s to the Quality Team and Managers for review
• Assist Quality Engineers in location documents to build cert packages
• Conduct inspection using various types of gages. Learn to build gages and tooling. Conduct inspection for receiving, final, in process and first pieces.
• Write NCR’s when finding nonconforming product. Learn to navigate through company folders to find requirements. Read and accept certifications.
• Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 30 lbs.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma

Skills / Certifications

• Windows Operating system and Windows Office proficiency is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work well at all levels of the organization.
• Must be detailed-oriented, motivated and deal with changing priorities.
• Must be able to stand, walk for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Willingness to learn

pay range: $20.00 to $25.00
