Job summary

Aptara seeks an experienced quality inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts and assemblies for aerospace or defense. You will read engineering drawings and POs, ensuring conformance to IPC 620 and AS9102 standards.

You will report inspection results to customers via a web application; laptop proficiency and MS Word/Excel are required for the assignment.

Qualifications

• In-process and final inspections on wires, harnesses, and cables.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and POs.
• Experience inspecting wires and cables to IPC 620.
• Experience performing FAIs per AS9102.
• Five+ years aerospace or defense inspection experience.
• Must own a laptop for assignment.

Requirements

• Candidate must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on wire harness and cables.
• Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
• The candidate must have experience inspecting wires, cables, harnesses to IPC 620 standard.
• Candidates must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
• Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard and knowledge is required.
• Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years experience performing inspections in aerospace or military / defense manufacturing with proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Candidate should be computer savvy and own a laptop for this assignment.
