Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming parts, materials, and assemblies dimensionally, visually and functionally using established instructions.
• Check for damage or workmanship, ensuring PO and inspection plans are followed.
• Notify designated personnel of defects and support corrective actions as needed.
• Label boxes as acceptable or unacceptable and communicate results clearly.
• Wear required PPE and follow safety rules; adapt to temperature variations.
• Report hazardous conditions promptly to supervision.
• Lift/move objects up to 50 lbs and stay mobile throughout shifts.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a meticulous Supplier Quality Inspector to join their growing team! This role is vital in safeguarding the company’s reputation by inspecting incoming parts, assemblies, and materials, guaranteeing they meet our rigorous standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspection Ace: Dimensionally, visually, and functionally (when applicable) inspect all incoming parts, materials, and finished assemblies, utilizing established inspection instructions.
• Standards Champion: Visually inspect for any damage or workmanship issues, verifying that all purchase order and inspection plan requirements are strictly adhered to.
• Quality Advocate: Alert designated personnel of any flaws or defects discovered, potentially requiring corrective action.
• Clear Communicator: Distinguish each box or container as acceptable or unacceptable, ensuring clear communication throughout the receiving process.
• Safety First: Utilize and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment, which may include ear protection, safety glasses, gloves, and proper footwear depending on the materials being inspected.
• Safety Advocate: Promptly report any hazardous conditions to your supervisor or manager.
• Adaptability: Work diligently following all established safety rules and procedures while adapting to potential variations in temperature due to seasonal changes.
• Physical Stamina: Maintain good mobility and strength for lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs., with frequent standing, walking, bending, and turning throughout the workday.

Qualifications

• Possess a basic understanding of common measuring tools such as calipers, scales, rulers, small hand power tools, and computer systems (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Maintain good mobility and strength for lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs.
• Can interpret blueprints or drawings with ease.
• Demonstrate a combination of key qualities: alertness, reliability, good perception and aesthetic sense, excellent initiative, self-motivation, strong memory, reasoning, judgment, and analytical abilities.
• Possess excellent communication and customer relations skills along with the ability to make sound, subjective decisions based on your observations.
• Are fluent in reading and writing English.
