Job summary

EControls is seeking a Quality Inspector to conduct in-process and final visual inspections of production parts, ensuring IPC A610 criteria are met and data is accurately recorded for Finished Goods delivery.

The role supports feedback to the Production Cell Coordinator and Process Quality Engineering on nonconformances, collaborates with the team to maintain inspection throughput, and participates in process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Must be considered an A player.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience as a QA Technician or assembly operator may substitute education.
  • Must be able to obtain IPC A610 certification.
  • Familiar with electronic components- part recognition, polarity markers, lead type.
  • Be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow-up issues/concerns through closure.
  • Ability to lead basic team effort.
  • This position requires sitting for ten (10) hours per day.
  • Looking into a microscope for extended periods.
  • Bending over.
  • Push, and pull product.
  • Use of Solvent and/or lubricants.
  • Lifting repetitively boxes/parts up to 40 lbs

Description

The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting in-process and final visual inspections of production parts, recording results, and providing feedback. The Quality Inspector ensures the timely completion of inspections and data entry for Finished Goods delivery.

Key Job Elements

  • Provide in-process and final visual inspection of production parts to IPC A 610 criteria in a timely manner
  • Record all inspection results in the Manual Test database.
  • Provide feedback to the Production Cell Coordinator and Process Quality Engineering on any nonconformance that may need immediate attention.
  • Support events outside one’s normal daily routines as required by management.
  • Work as a team to complete inspection and data entry of all product inspection results, made ready per customer demands.
  • Provide solutions that may improve efficiency and effective practices for inspection and workload balancing between other inspectors.
  • Provide feedback for improvements to work inspection instructions & procedures
  • Follow Non-Conforming Material (NCM) process, ensure NCM material is properly red-tagged and placed in the appropriate location

Requirements
