Job summary

S & N Machine & Fabricating Inc in Rothbury, MI is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control professional to ensure products meet precise standards in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Inspect finished and in-process parts using calipers, micrometers, and CMMs; document results; and collaborate with machinists to resolve issues while supporting continuous improvement and compliance with blueprints and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in quality control or a related manufacturing role.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Familiarity with machining and metal fabrication preferred.

About the Role:

S & N Machine & Fabricating Inc is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control professional to join our team in Rothbury, MI. Responsibilities:

• Inspect finished and in-process parts for dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and conformance to specifications
• Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part tolerances
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality control records
• Identify, tag, and report non-conforming parts and coordinate corrective actions
• Collaborate with machinists and fabricators to resolve quality issues on the shop floor
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve production quality
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, blueprints, and internal quality standards

Requirements:

• Prior experience in quality control, inspection, or a related manufacturing role
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Familiarity with machining and metal fabrication processes preferred
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production teams
• Experience with quality documentation and reporting systems is a plus
