Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving, in-process, first article, and final inspections as required.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections using standard inspection and measurement equipment.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and electrical schematics to verify product compliance.
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles during inspection activities.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Review and verify customer, engineering, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Prepare and assemble customer documentation packages, including certificates of conformity, inspection reports, material certifications, and other quality records.
  • Execute measurement programs on metrology equipment and verify measurement accuracy.
  • Accept or reject materials and finished products based on inspection results and customer requirements.
  • Identify nonconforming conditions and support corrective action investigations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing inspection records and quality documentation.
  • Manage and update calibration records and coordinate external calibration activities.

The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; as well as other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $24 to $33 hourly/annually. Hours of the position are 6 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday.

POSITION SUMMARY

Act as a key quality inspection resource responsible for verifying that incoming, in-process, and finished products meet customer specifications, engineering requirements, and company quality standards. Perform dimensional and visual inspections, interpret engineering drawings and schematics, support compliance activities, and prepare customer documentation packages to ensure products meet all contractual and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform receiving, in-process, first article, and final inspections as required.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections using standard inspection and measurement equipment.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and electrical schematics to verify product compliance.
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles during inspection activities.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Review and verify customer, engineering, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Prepare and assemble customer documentation packages, including certificates of conformity, inspection reports, material certifications, and other quality records.

  • Accept or reject materials and finished products based on inspection results and customer requirements.
  • Identify nonconforming conditions and support corrective action investigations.

  • Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of GD&T.
  • Experience performing dimensional inspections using precision measurement equipment.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing customer documentation packages.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer specifications and technical documents.
  • Experience with 1D, 2D, and 3D metrology methods and devices preferred.
  • Working knowledge of machining, welding, fabrication, or electrical assembly processes preferred.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic quality record systems.
