Base pay range

$23.00/yr - $33.00/yr

Job Summary

Plymouth MN company has a need for a Quality Inspector. The primary responsibility will be completing in-process and final inspections on machined component parts. The Quality Inspector will also be responsible for completing inspection documentation such as AS9102 First Article Inspections, PPAPs, non-conformance documentation and/or SCARs. Ideally the Quality Inspector has experience in a job shop setting and has inspected parts in the aerospace and defense industries. Leadership qualities are a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and coordinate measuring machines to perform accurate measurements.
• Collect and analyze data related to product quality, identifying trends or areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities.
• Participate in internal audits and assist in the preparation for external audits related to quality management systems.
• Provide training and support to team members on quality assurance practices and procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quality inspection or a related field
• Experience with defense and aerospace manufacturing
• Familiarity with data collection methods and analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspections, PPAP's, non-conformance documentation and/or SCARs
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and coordinate measuring machines.
• May use Brown & Sharp CMM & OGP.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout the production process.

This is a Direct Hire opportunity.

Must be authorized to work permanently in the US

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening

Monday thru Thursday 6AM to 4:30PM and Friday 6AM to 1:30PM (47 hours per week)
