Job summary

Job description

Position Title: Quality Inspector Wage: $20.00 - $22.00/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 2:30pm - 11:00pm Reached a dead end at your current job? Check out how this position can create a new path! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Quality Inspector at a company in Oak Creek, WI.

Quality Inspector Responsibilities:

• Independently perform visual inspections and measurements of products to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards
• Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation
• Identify and reject nonconforming materials or products according to established procedures
• Participate in the investigation and resolution of quality issues
• Follow established action plans when a nonconformance is identified
• Utilize the Stop, Call, Wait, and Escalate process when recurring defects are identified
• Communicate recurring quality concerns to supervisors and appropriate Quality team members
• Participate in Tier meetings as needed to communicate quality concerns and support production goals
• Work closely with Operators and the Quality team to address inspection findings and maintain quality standards
• Follow all company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures

Requirements for Quality Inspector:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment
• Experience with Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) or a similar manufacturing environment preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and manufacturing operations
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 inspection and acceptance criteria or another applicable standard, such as IPC-A-600
• Ability to perform detailed visual inspections and measurements
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or nonconforming materials
• Ability to accurately document inspection results
• Proficient verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with Operators, Supervisors, and Quality team members
• Ability to follow established procedures and action plans
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team
