Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated seeks a Quality Inspector to verify material and finished product conformance to purchase orders, drawings, and specifications. Responsibilities include following inspection plans, recording results, and generating required QA documentation with limited supervision.

You will collaborate with engineers and inspectors, participate in root cause investigations, and assist in containment actions as needed. A High School Diploma or GED and electronics experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Self-starter able to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to identify electronics parts/components.
• Ability to review and interpret customer/industry specifications & workmanship standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiar with statistical process control (desired).
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations for inspection verification.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Verify product compliance to identified requirements with limited supervision.
• Follow inspection plans and sampling plans.
• Mark items for acceptance or rejection; record test results and inspection data.
• Generate quality documentation required by customers.

Job Summary

• Working with limited supervision to verify product compliance to identified requirements.
• Follow inspection plans and statistical sampling plans.
• Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards.
• Accurately generate the necessary quality documentation required by each customer.
• Work cooperatively with other inspectors, quality engineers, and manufacturing engineers.
• Participate in root cause investigations of non-conformances.
• Assist in material containment actions as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Self-starter, ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to identify electronics parts and components
• Ability to review and interpret customer/industry specifications & workmanship standards.
• Substantial experience with Microsoft Word and Excel (required).
• Familiar with statistical process control techniques (desired, but not necessary)
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations for inspection verification.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.

• Prior experience writing First Article Inspection Reports per SAE AS9102 (desired, but not required).
• Ability to evaluate test results and ability to maintain test records
• Use all inspection hand tools

Required Experience and Education

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• 1 years or more of electronic quality related experience (highly desired)
• 1 years of electronics assembly related experience (highly desired)
• Familiar with ESDcontrol practices and principles

Licenses, Certifications, etc.

• J-STD-001 Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies. (desired, but will train)
• IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies (desired, but will train)
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 Cable / Wire Harness Acceptance Standard (desired, but will train)
