Job summary

Owens Corning in North Platte is hiring a Quality Inspector to perform dimensional inspections of components, door parts and assemblies to engineering drawings and specs. You will verify measurement results, quarantine questionable items, and communicate issues to the QC Supervisor and leadership to ensure product quality.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality issues, implement best practices, and contribute to delivering high-quality doors and related products

Qualifications

• Must read and write English and follow instructions clearly.
• Familiarity with machinery and good math/measurement skills are required.
• Demonstrated teamwork and reliable attendance with strong safety awareness.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy during inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections to product requirements using drawings and specs.

2nd shift 5:00pm-3:30am Monday -Thursday

Pay:

The hourly pay rate range for this position is 23.54 + shift differential and benefits. Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to North Platte and may not be applicable to other locations.

What your day in this role might involve at OC-North Platte:

Performs quality inspections of components, door parts and assemblies, per quality standards. Communicates quality issues to QC Supervisor and Leadership. Quarantines questionable doors /components. Operates measurement equipment; understands and communicates results to all staff.

The position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality issues, develop solutions, and implement best practices to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections to product requirements (incoming, in-process and final) by matching components to engineering drawing and specifications.
• Participate in the implementation of product quality improvement initiatives to reduce process variation and prevent defects.
• Identifies raw material condition by collecting material samples; conducting inspections and requesting testing as required.
• Ability to prioritize projects and the flexibility to deal with interruptions and reprioritize as needed.
• Knowledge of safety and security measures when utilizing equipment and materials.
• Performing in-process and final inspections on finished products.
