Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Quality Inspector in Monroe, NC. The role pays $19/hour and runs Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and basic Excel skills.

You will inspect raw materials and finished goods, support in lab testing, and maintain lab equipment while ensuring accurate documentation. forklift operation and independent work are part of daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Requires strong eye for detail and ability to work independently.
• Basic Excel skills are required for data entry and record-keeping.
• Forklift operation is a plus or required for material handling.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test raw materials to identify quality issues before they enter production.
• Perform visual inspections for labels, packaging, and contaminants on incoming materials and finished products.
• Assist in testing materials using equipment for tests such as extruder strip bend, melt flow, bulk density and compression tests.
• Inspect finished goods daily from production lines.
• Operate lab extruder and prepare samples for testing.
• Maintain, calibrate, and clean lab equipment and the quality lab area.
• Track and store samples, and maintain inventory and test results.
• Manage documentation related to raw materials and finished goods quality.
• Quarantine and label rejected materials and issue rejection reports.
• Operate a forklift to move material
• Pull pellets out to weigh and test
• This position requires a strong eye for detail, ability to work independently, and basic proficiency in Excel.
