Job summary

EXALTA is seeking a Quality Inspector in Michigan to inspect in-house and supplier-made products with high-precision equipment. You will read policies, follow procedures, and collaborate with a team to maximize patient safety and quality.

The role involves testing, documentation, and feedback to engineering teams. The position requires a high school diploma and 1+ years in manufacturing, with GD&T knowledge and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 1+ years' of equivalent work experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to perform basic inspections techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support operations to achieve optimal product quality.
• Document inspection results and operate inspection equipment
• Create Non-Conformance (NC) if parts do not meet specifications.
• Read measurement reports and provide feedback to engineers, machinists, and team members.
• Perform routine AQL inspections and 100% inspections for in-house and purchased goods.
• Inspect conformance to drawings and inspection requirements using visual, physical, mechanical, and/or electrical evaluations.
• Navigate high precision equipment such as CMMs, Keyence and Vision Systems.
• Participate in Gage R&R measurements.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment per shop safety and OSHA requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Inspector involves inspection of products made in-house and supplier purchased products. The product is inspected through various high precision measurement equipment. It involves reading, understanding, and following work policies and procedures while working in a team environment. This position will help EXALTA Group maximize the amount of patients served while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support operations to achieve optimal product quality.
• Document inspection results and operate inspection equipment
• Create Non-Conformance (NC) if part(s) inspected do not meet the required specifications.
• Read measurement reports and provide feedback to engineers, machinists, and fellow team members.
• Perform routine Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) inspections and conduct 100% inspections as required, including inspections for in-house and purchased manufactured semi-finished and finished goods.
• Inspect for conformance to specifications, drawings, and inspection requirements using variousvisual, physical, mechanical, and/or electrical evaluations.
• Navigation of high precision equipment such as CMMs, Keyence and Vision Systems.
• Participates in Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) measurements
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with general shop safety and OSHA requirements.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

• High School diploma required
• 1+ years' of equivalent work experience in manufacturing is preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Basic computer skills (following standard operations procedures, navigating One Drive/SharePoint, QMS and ERP)
• Basic math and print reading
• Fundamental or basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to perform basic inspections techniques

Pay range:

This is a non-exempt role, the range is $18.80-$25.44 per hour, dependent on prior experience
